A memorable Wimbledon ends, bringing it with it a fleeting sense of mid-summer melancholy. Before I share my personal highlights of the tournament, let’s cover the topic of superstition.

Do you ever find yourself bouncing the ball a precise number of times before a serve? Or feeling off if you don't wear your "lucky" socks or t-shirt? We all have our habits on the tennis court. For me, bouncing the ball a few times before every serve helps me set a good tempo for my motion and starting the point.

But what separates a beneficial routine that sharpens your game from a hidden superstition that can actually hold you back?
